Now, let's discuss the playoff format for the games scheduled for Sunday, March 9th. Here are a couple of quick notes for the final day of Buzzardball.
1. Every team will play at least one game. Teams will either play a consolation game or be involved in a playoff.
2. We will start at our regular venues. In addition, games to punch the ticket to Golden One Center and most of the Silver Championships will take place at Sport Courts Fitness.
3. New this year at SCF: It gets crowded at SCF because we have two games going on at once all day long. This season, we will add the Ya-Ya Nancy Court as a spillover for the teams getting ready to play. That will help alleviate some of the crowd flow between games.
Here is the playoff breakdown for each division. I will not be listing game times as we have many coaches who coach two teams. Those of you with two teams ... I will do my very best to create gaps. I suggest having your assistants ready just in case. Once the final standings are in place after the games played on March 2nd, I will put out the Playoff Schedule by Tuesday. In addition, I will do my best, but I cannot promise to be able to alter the schedule to coordinate with other youth sports schedules in the area. Unfortunately, I don't have much flexibility.
For the teams that punch their ticket to Golden One Center, I will work with you to schedule a practice at SCF the week of March 10th, leading into the Championship game. I will give you full instructions that you can pass along to family and friends. The best part of the Championship Games is that admission is free. If we get the Sunday date, street parking is free throughout the day—more details to come.
